Power Of Essential Oils
I love these little powerhouses. Not only do they smell good, but they have therapeutic benefits and cleanse your home and your body. They help my son, and I stay healthy, sleep better, focus, and uplift us during the day.
Using plants and essential oils is my favorite way to ensure the air in my home is as clean and pure as possible. They can remove toxins that you don't see, clean the air in your home, and increase your feeling of wellbeing.
When oils are diffused into the air, they are also absorbed into your body through your nose and skin and can help build immunity and have a healing impact, including cell renewal.
We can use them in all areas of our lives: to relax and sleep, or to wake up and focus. They can improve our digestion and help to clear and brighten skin. Essential oil is far more than just a smell; the healing effect can be mental, physical, and emotional.
If you are not familiar, essential oils are organic compounds extracted from plants with excellent healing properties. Using essential oils is a holistic treatment that improves physical, mental, and emotional health.
The oils are extracted directly from the bark, flower, fruit, leaf, seed, or root of a plant or tree, and just one drop can have powerful health benefits. These therapeutic oils protect the plant from insects, shield from a harsh environment, and help them adapt to their surroundings. When you take the oils, you are harnessing the protective and healing powers of a plant.
For over 5,000 years, many different cultures have used these healing plant oils for a variety of health conditions. They are often used for relaxation, beauty care, food preparation, home cleaning, and most commonly used as natural medicine.
Just adding some of the most common oils to you medicine cabinet can:
• Fight cold and flu symptoms
• Relax your body and soothe sore muscles
• Heal skin conditions
• Alleviate pain
• Balance hormones
• Improve digestion
• Reduce cellulite and wrinkles
• Clean your home
How to APPLY AND USE ESSENTIAL OILS
There are three ways that essential oils are commonly used:
Aromatically by inhaling directly or diffusing into the air
Topically by directly applying to the skin or area of concern
Internally in liquid or a gel capsule
* Only extremely pure, high-grade essential oils are safe to take orally. I recommend consuming dōTERRA CPTG (Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade) oils that have the supplement facts label on them. They are the only oils currently on this label.
* Be sure only to use glass or ceramic containers to drink essential oils. Never drink essential oils out of plastic, styrofoam, or paper cups because citrus oils break down petrochemicals. They will literally eat through a styrofoam cup which makes them fantastic for detoxification and clearing these harmful substances out of your body.
